Volunteer

These services are possible only because of our strong and caring base of over 800 volunteers who thrive in our casual, welcoming and compassionate environment. Whether you are available once a week or once a year, we need your help.
On-call volunteers are also valued. Join us and make a positive difference!

Types of Volunteers

Kitchen Assistants

Join this friendly, hardworking team and put your culinary creativity to use! Cooking skills are not required! Duties include food preparation, serving meals, dishwashing and socializing with our members.

Front Desk Receptionists

Do you enjoy meeting and visiting with people? Our receptionists create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting visitors, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments for members. Phone and computer training provided.

Food Shelf

Able to smile while lifting 20 pounds? Help pack food shelf bags, stock the shelves, and divide bulk commodities into smaller bags for distribution. We also need volunteers to organize food drives at schools, workplaces, churches, synagogues or other locations.

Politically Alive Task Force

Register our members to vote! Drive to the polls or other events! Promote education around injustice facing our HIV/AIDS community. Help members understand and exercise their rights.
